Roger L. Strandlund

Roger L. Strandlund received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University, majoring in Urban Planning and Economics. Mr. Strandlund thereafter graduated from University of Iowa College of Law. Mr. Strandlund brings to his practice prior employment in regional planning and 20 years of service on the City of Moline Plan Commission and Rock Island County Board of Building Appeals.  Prior to joining Ancel Glink, P.C., Mr. Strandlund practiced law from offices in Naperville and Moline for a fourteen-member law firm, including service as managing shareholder. 

Mr. Strandlund has provided legal opinions and documents to municipal officials on matters of federal, state and municipal law, and Mr. Strandlund has represented various public sector entities in court and before administrative agencies.  As to the negotiation of contracts involving complex public-private partnerships and development incentives, Mr. Strandlund’s work with the John Deere Commons is most notable.  For over a decade Mr. Strandlund served as outside general counsel to the transit district and commercial airport serving the Quad Cities.  While Mr. Strandlund continues with some of that work, Mr. Strandlund is presently lead outside counsel for the City of East Moline, Illinois, and serves as special counsel to a number of public sector entities.  

Mr. Strandlund lives in Moline, Illinois with his wife, Carol.
