Robert C. Rubin

In his four decades of practicing law, Robert has gained invaluable insights into the defense side of the law and is skilled in the areas of litigation, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and closing claims. Robert’s vast experience with administrative hearings before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and jury and bench trials in local circuit courts makes him particularly skilled in developing legal strategies.

Robert’s legal career has included litigating civil and workers’ compensation cases for Illinois’ largest municipal transportation company and a multinational law firm, as well as supervising workers’ compensation and civil litigation attorneys for a major national insurer. His practice style aims to maximize value for his clients and minimize the impact of claims.

At Ancel Glink, Robert manages cases from client referral through arbitration and review, which includes: an initial case analysis; drafting of status updates to clients; researching and drafting memoranda on legal and medical issues; conducting settlement negotiations; preparing and presenting witnesses and physicians for depositions and trial testimony in litigating cases before an arbitrator; proposing decisions, statements of exception, and circuit court briefs; and resenting motions and oral arguments before arbitrators, commissioners, and judges.
